My Story…
Most people think of migraine as 'just a bad headache', but for those who suffer from it, it's so much more.
Chronic migraine has shaped my days, plans and sometimes my entire world. They don't come with a warning when they hit, and when they do hit everything stops. Work, family time, celebrations and even simple moments. People who suffer push through it more often then we can count & pushing through it isn't only strength, its survival. Constantly planning around invisible pain, to people who cant see. It means guilt for cancelling plans, frustration when treatments do not work and exhaustion from fighting your own body again and again. But it also teaches me resilience, patience and compassion for myself and others living with chronic illness, especially the invisible kind. I'm sharing my story, participating in this fundraiser matters to me because he helps fund migraine research. More research mean better treatments and better understanding.
