Our story…

Welcome to the Chronic Migraine Warriors team page

Team Chronic Migraine Warriors started in 2021 by Doug Kane. Doug is a patient at Jefferson Headache Center in Philadelphia PA. He has intractable migraine without aura and with status migrainosus & migraine with unilateral motor symptoms (MUMS) in addition to a few other conditions. 

 In the beginning of 2022, Doug met Natalie Bowers who is also a patient at Jefferson Headache Center learning that her migraine symptoms were similar to Doug's. From there, they became close friends. They made a facebook group called Chronic Migraine Warriors to try and find other people who have chronic migraine. The Facebook support group has grown to over 4600 members now..

Chronic Migraine Warriors is trying to improve the lives of people impacted by migraine and other headache disorders by raising awareness, starting conversations when people say that “it’s just a headache” and raising funds for Jefferson Headache Center.

In our first event, Philadelphia 2023, our team had many people participate in person or virtually!  We are so excited to see what 2024 brings!
